The area is perfect for fishing, boating, hiking, bird watching and just about anything with outdoor recreation! The closest public marina is Hickory Star Marina located in Maynardville, TN.
Sharps Chapel, TN History
Henry Sharp (also Peter Sharp) settled in the area on a 700 acres land grant. Sharp was an American Revolutionary War veteran. His son Jacob Sharp in 1835 built a federal style house and in 1874 sold it to Jacob Ousley. Today the Bait Ousley house is currently registered on the National Register of Historic Places since 1978.
